AA Pipes

My name is Riccardo Pagliarino, I am 37 years old, and I am a pipemaker. My passion for craftsmanship has always been present, ever since I was a child. At 20, thanks to my father, a smoker and pipe enthusiast, I was introduced to this fascinating world for the first time. One day, I happened to find an old, worn-out piece of olive wood, and driven by curiosity and the desire to create a pipe, I decided to work on it. The result was an object that vaguely resembled a pipe, but that clumsy attempt marked the beginning of a new adventure.

From that moment on, I started making pipes, initially with whatever tools I had at my disposal, some of which I had crafted myself. It was a period of constant experimentation: between successes and failures, I always tried to improve and learn from my mistakes. The "apprenticeship" was long, but I never stopped working with passion. Each pipe I made pushed me to do better, to find new ways to perfect my techniques.

Over time, I gained more confidence and began offering my pipes to the public. It was at that moment that I realized I wanted to take this seriously. Fortunately, along my path, I met some skilled pipemakers who gave me valuable advice and helped me refine my style and techniques. Thanks to them, I was able to improve even further, but I have always continued to experiment, convinced that learning never ends.

Today, at 37, I continue to dedicate myself with the same passion I had when I started. Each pipe I make is the result of years of experience, but also of a constant desire to explore new ideas. For me, every piece is unique and carries a part of my story: that of a boy who turned a passion into an art, never stopping to grow and improve.
