Online Sale Poul Winslow Pipes - Hand Made Danish pipes

From the outside, Poul Winsløw's house, located south of Copenhagen, might appear nestled in the Black Forest. Despite having German ancestors and his pipes being highly esteemed in Germany, Poul Winsløw remains a true Danish pipemaker. He learned the craft in Preben Holm's workshop, who has since passed away, where he briefly collaborated with Per Hansen and Ulf Noltensmeier, the current owners of the Bang brand.

Poul Winsløw directed production at Preben Holm for fifteen years before deciding to start his own business in 1985. His wealth of ideas and courage to mold shapes and use distinctive colors are defining factors of his pipes. If an expert believes they can identify Winsløw's style, they would be mistaken because he continually evolves it. For a period, he adorned many of his "Straight Grain" pipes with colored acrylic stems. Today, some pipes are adorned with silver bands and occasionally exhibit an almost classic style.

Poul Winsløw enjoys showcasing his art to the public, often traveling to Germany and Denmark where he stays for several weeks each year. The fusion of customer desires with his ideas represents an ongoing challenge. Currently, he has two collaborators, and together they produce approximately 3,000 pipes annually, marketed in various countries alongside Dunhill and Stanwell pipes. This combination ensures not only a range of Danish series pipes but also high-quality English classic style products and unique handmade pieces by a freehand artist.
